Varcut 4229
High performance medium viscosity extreme pressure neat cutting oil
Varcut 4229 is a heavy duty high performance chlorine free neat cutting oil developed for use on cast iron, high tensile and high alloy steels across a wide range of machinery. Typical applications include general machining on bar autos and automatic machines, deep hole drilling, boring, gear hobbing, reaming, broaching and thread cutting.
Varcut 4229 is based on advanced synthetic lubricity esters combined with high performance none chlorinated EP additives for heavy duty performance. The product also contains an ant-mist additive for improved operator acceptance and excellent operating conditions.
Varcut 4229 is a medium viscosity product ensuring rapid penetration to the cutting tool / work piece zone to provide maximum flushing of swarf and chippings. Due to the viscosity range of this product it can be used as a general lubricating oil where cross leakage can occur from other applications on the machine tool. The product can also be ultilised on metal forming applications where a low viscosity drawing and forming oil with excellent boundary lubrication is of benefit.
Varcut 4229 may not be suitable for use on some yellow metals such as brass or copper.
